…and one by one they’ll all fall, until all that is left are the pair of michelle dockery’s eyebrows, still winning awards.
I swear when Robert was all “relax! go read a book! etc” the look on Bates’ face was just, “LOL ARE YOU KIDDING I HAVE A WIFE TO SEX”
anyway anyway… baby bates! :P
Okay, not only do I find the new Tom/Mary crackship HILARIOUS, but I also really appreciate it making things convenient for my personal fave crackship, Matthew/Edith x)
Downton Abbey - Tom and Sybil II
I got several people asking me where Branson was in my Sybil II headcanons set, so I sketched this. here, have more feels! :)
Hey folks, I have some exciting news!!!
I now officially have a Society 6 store where you can buy my art! These are the drawings available now, but I’ll be updating regularly, so keep an eye out for your faves! :D (I believe there is free shipping until Sunday too).
Also, Downton Abbey buttons, mirrors, and magnets are still available here.
I am eternally grateful to anyone who buys or promotes. :)
Cheers!

Sybil II
I had some headcanony feels about this child yesterday so I doodled them. Here’s Sybil meeting her baby cousin (uncle Matthew feeds him too much cake), learning her letters with aunt Edith in London (“but who needs cursive anymore, we’ve got typewriters!”), baking a cake with her grandmother (who learned how to bake alongside her of course), and dressing up with her aunt Mary (because aunt Mary is just so fabulous all the time).
I’d like to believe she has a happy life and Julian Fellowes is not in charge of it.
when baby sybil grows up and has the vote I hope she votes robert off the island
in the early 1900s, pink was considered the colour for baby boys. it was considered a stronger colour, I guess, because it was closer to red and red was all SRS BSNS.
blue was for girls because it’s calmer and such.
I’m not sure anyone knows exactly when and why the switch happened (my one minute research claimed it changed after world war II).
but yeah. that explains my baby branson burrito all wrapped in pink. it wasn’t a mistake. ;)
by the way, they also used to dress boys in gowns until they were about 4 or 5 years old, but I think this was more in the 17th century/way earlier in the 18th century. I guess baby charlie was dressed like a proper gentleman because wiki just informed me that this tradition finally died out after first world war.
but do you know what that means? if there is ever a flashback episode, you’d likely find matthew and branson, etc in dresses.
…
lesson over. :)
Someone order a Baby Branson Burrito with a side of It’s Gonna Be Okay?
